This tour is designed to get highlights of Bhutan, a beautiful country residing in the lap of the Himalayas. It is mainly the cultural tour exploration highlighting the main historical cities and sites rich in culture and archaeology. This 5-days Bhutan tour is the most preferred tour in Bhutan. During the tour, you can visit major Dzong, the most popular hiking trail in Taktsang Valley, farmhouses, and local farm markets. You can also enjoy the traditional hot stone bath whilst visiting there. 

On this tour, you first land at Paro airport enjoying the spectacular views of the Mountains in the northern region of Bhutan. It will be one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights you ever have. The aerial beauty of Bhutan will amaze you in various ways and the flight offers exciting descent into the land of the thunder dragon. On arrival at the airport, you will be received by the tour representative and get transferred to Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan.

Then you will have enough time to explore this city, where you can visit Wangdsite Monastery, the Thangtang Dewachen Monastery, Changangkha Lakahang, and the Painting School or National Institute for Zorig Chusum. The next day we drive from Thimpu to Punakha, which is 75km via Duchala pass(3000m).  The drive will offer you a beautiful glimpse of the remote and traditional villages of Bhutan. Punakha Dzong is the religious and administrative center of the region that has an important role in Bhutan's history. Thus this place offers the cultural and traditional essence of Bhutan and enriches the importance of the region.

Next, we will hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery which would be a round trip of approximately 5 hours. This monastery is also referred to as Taktsang Monastery as it lies on the hill of the Taltsang Valley. It is the most famous monastery all over the Butan which is built on the side of a rocky cliff and was considered the meditation cave of Padmasambhava who introduced Buddism to Tibet and Bhutan. Later on, you can go on sightseeing the Paro City. There you can visit the Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, the National Museum of Bhutan, vibrant and colorful markets, Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang, and many others.

Day

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The drive from Paro to Thimphu will take approximately 1.5 hours, and you will get to enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayan mountains and the picturesque Bhutanese countryside. After checking in at your hotel in Thimphu, you will have some time to relax and freshen up.

On day 2, after breakfast, we will leave Thimphu and head towards Punakha, which is about 75 km away. The drive will take us through the beautiful and scenic Dochula Pass, where we will be able to enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range. Along the way, we will visit the Chimi Lhakhang temple, which is dedicated to the famous Lama Drukpa Kunley, also known as the "Divine Madman." Upon reaching Punakha, we will visit the Punakha Dzong, which is one of the most impressive and picturesque dzongs in Bhutan, located at the confluence of two rivers. In the evening, we can stroll around the Punakha town and visit local markets. We will spend the night in a hotel in Punakha.

Today, you will travel from Punakha to Paro, a journey that takes around 4 hours. Along the way, You can also visit the Chimi Lhakhang temple, a fertility temple dedicated to the divine madman, and the Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece and the former seat of Bhutan's government.

Day 4 is dedicated to the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery hike and Paro exploration. We will trek for 2-3 hours to reach the monastery and explore its history and significance.
