The Khopra Ridge Trek is a relatively new trail in the Annapurna region that takes you off the beaten path and offers stunning views of the Himalayas. Day

Day one is your arrival day in Kathmandu. We will come to welcome you at the airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel and checking in to the rooms, we will let you know about our trip briefing meeting.

It is an important meeting so, we will wait until everyone arrives if there are people flying in different flights for the trip on the same date. Anyway, you will get the information about the meeting time.

We drive around 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu to Pokhara today. In the way, you will be doing rafting in Trishuli River for around one and half hours and have your lunch on beautiful resort on the bank of same river. After you have had your lunch further journey to Pokhara resumes and we drive across different villages that give first hand glimpse of how rural Nepal looks like. In sum it will be around seven hours drive to Pokhara, the beautiful city of lakes. There we will check into beautiful hotel to stay overnight.

Today, our trek begins as we reach Nayapul from Pokhara driving in a private car. our trek destination for today will be Ghandruk village, an indigenous Gurung community village. In sum, it will be a 7-8 hours journey where it is 2 hour of drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. The primitive village is situated at the altitude of 1940m/6365ft. you can indulge in the local tradition and culture along with the scenic mountain views. 

The overnight stay is at a mountain lodge in Ghandruk village.

The second day of trekking begins in the morning after we have our breakfast at the hotel in Ghandruk. Today's trek is 6 to 7 hours up hills ascending to Tadapani, crossing the lush forests, and small streams, and walking on the stone paved steps. After having lunch in Tadapani, our trek resumes until we reach Dobato.

The overnight stay is at a mountain lodge in Dobato (3426m).

It is a short hike today of around 5 hours. we shall start our trek in the late morning and descend through the forest to reach chistibang pastures. Then after the trek for around 2 hours- ascending above the hills to reach the Khopre Danda. Being lucky, you might be able to get a glimpse of Himalayan Thar and pheasant. you will see amazing views of Dhaulagiri mountain, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna mountains, and Dhampus peak. The khopra ridge also offers a magnificent view of the deepest gorge in the world- Kaligandaki Gorge.

The overnight stay is at the mountain lodge at Khopra Danda(3660).

Today we will be hiking to khayer lake which is at an altitude of 4700 meters. Khayer lake is a sacred lake for both Hindus and Buddhists. It will be a round trip of around 9-10 hours. we will spend, some of the beautiful time at khayer lake and return to khopra danda where we stay overnight.

Today we will trek down to reach swanta leaving the khopre ridge behind. It will be 4 -5 hours of a trek through the lush green hills having seen beautiful mountains, farmlands, and pasturelands on the way. swanta village offers you a taste of Himalayan cheese locally made of yak milk as it is known as Community Cheese Factory.

The overnight stay is at the lodge in Swanta.

On this day we will leave the beautiful swanta village and trek toward Ghorepani. It will be 5 hours of hike to reach the destination. Firstly, we will descend through the village fields and cross the river on the suspension bridge and then ascend upward to join the Annapurna circuit trekking trail. The rest path will also be covered ascending to reach the Ghorepani.

The overnight stay is at the lodge in Ghorepani.

Today you will be ascending a poon hill half an hour early in the morning to meet up with the sun as it rises from the high mountains. The panoramic sunrise view over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs including several other mountains worth your holidays. 

Soon after capturing beautiful scenic views from poon hill, we descend back to Ghorepani and further descend to Nayapul trekking for about 8-9 hours. Now our journey in trek ends and we drive from Nayapul to Pokhara where we stay overnight.

After adventurous trekking to Annapurna Region and a well spent day in Pokhara, today we shall transfer to Kathmandu. Check in to hotel and after some refreshment gap we meet up for the farewell dinner party either in some restaurant, club or pub.
